Azure Engineer

About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic Azure Engineer to join our international engineering team. In this role,you will be responsible for designing,building,and optimizing cloud infrastructure that powers a wide range of data-driven applications. As the dedicated Azure specialist in a multidisciplinary squad,you’ll work closely with data engineers,solution architects,and other stakeholders to deliver scalable,secure,and sustainable solutions. Your expertise will help the team accelerate delivery,improve platform reliability,and unlock the full potential of cloud technologies.  

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance.
• Develop and standardize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to build stable, automated solutions aligned with organizational standards.
• Advise on cloud and infrastructure-related challenges, guiding technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experiment with new Azure services and tools to continuously improve performance and efficiency.

 

You will work at a large financial organization with offices in the Netherlands and abroad. The team that you will join is responsible for  building a platform that directly contributes to the carbon footprint of the organization to improve its sustainability values. 

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Certification: Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or equivalent experience.
• Proven hands-on expertise with:
• 5+ years experience in cloud environment (azure)
• Azure Functions for event-driven solutions (Must Have)
• Azure DevOps for YAML pipelines, artifact storage, deployment automation. (Must Have)
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep (Must Have)
• Affinity with ETL infrastructure and automation.
• Python programming experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to work independently and influence technical discussions.

What you'll get:

 

• Salary : €4500-€5500
• Holiday pay: 8.33% of gross annual salary.
• 13th month bonus
• 25 Vacation days + 0.5 bonus day per quarter if you have remained fit and healthy (i.e., do not report sick).
• Travel allowance: 23 cents/kilometer.
• E-learning portal with (almost) all IT training and education that you can propose.
• €50 for medical expenses (you can count this as gross on top of your salary!).
