In this position you will be part of the Mattel Global Shared Service Center (MGSS).
Your primary responsibilities are to;
Act as first Point of Contact & Lead Relationship Management between MGSS and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing)
Lead Relationship Management between MGSS and Mattel BUs.
Review, validate and approve internal and external Business Controls; Month End Closing Sox Controls performed by the BPO/BU.
Participation in and coordination of any projects that arise from the business needs.
Ensure on-going emphasis on client service and satisfaction.
Escalate issues to MGSS Record to Report Regional Lead where appropriate, and issues or inquiries are followed up, investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
Ensure that additional actions are taken to avoid same occurrence to happen in the future.
Identifying areas of improvement and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Establish priorities and deadlines.
Take part in any structured support and training that may be required by the Business Units; i.e. Oracle training, new processes, MGSS onboarding.
Record to Report
Creation and approval of journal entries in Oracle.
Currency revaluation entries.
Preparation of quarterly package and year end package.
Update account specifications.
Validation of fixed assets reporting.
Manage the Business Unit closing.
Perform internal and external Business Controls.

Our office in Amstelveen is home to 80 employees. It hosts a diverse mix of commercial functions; Sales, Customer Marketing, Customer Services, Consumer Products as well as support functions; Finance, IT, Procurement, Legal, Product Integrity, HR, Logistics.
Bachelor Degree in Finance and Accounting.
3 Years of experience in General Ledger accounting and Financial Analysis, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with team management.
Good understanding of and experience in financial issues and USGAAP principles.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Oracle GL experience is considered a plus.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian language is a plus.
Being able to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formats.
Being ability to work independently and as a team player.
You are accurate, dedicated and flexible.
You are persistent to implement changes to improve systems, processes efficiency and communication.
