The purpose of this job is to plan the goods flow for a range of products within the product range. It assures operational supply chain decisions are made in line with business supply chain strategy.
The job ensures that all supply/demand conflicts within a short & mid term time horizon are resolved in a timely manner and that best possible service and quality is delivered at lowest possible operational cost and best possible asset utilization. This involves responsibility for planning all elements in the goods flow e. g. production, raw materials, outplants, site logistics, contract manufacturing, warehouse replenishment or imports from others regions, as well as managing all exceptions on a real time basis. In addition, it involves the identification of opportunities to improve performance.
The nature of the business requires strong decision making capabilities and good communication skills across multiple functions.
Accountability for locally executing business supply chain strategy on service, inventory, costs and quality
Manages product availability and supply
Schedules owned assets, coordinate supply for other biz units or supply from other geographies, including its raw materials, packaging lines and/or outplant activities
Plans contract manufacturing operations or warehouse replenishment
Resolves issues resulting from unplanned events
Proactively identifies and removes constraints in the goods flow
Cooperates closely with Customer Service / Sales to optimize service levels
Cooperates closely with Manufacturing or asset partner to balance offgrade, inventory and product quality.
Cooperates closely with Site Logistics and Logistics to optimize the product flow.
Cooperates closely with upstream and down stream partners.
Proactively provides status updates to the business and Customer Service and Sales.
Participates in business S&OPs
Participates in supply chain projects
Looks for opportunities to improve service levels, reduce costs or improve supply chain quality
Responsible to generate Business reports by utilizing standard Planning tools (e.g. APO, SAP ECC, Business Warehouse)
Set up and maintain parameters in Planning Tool

Bachelor’s or Master degree in supply chain, engineering, science, business or related discipline
Supply chain or Logistics experience
Fluent in English (written and spoken) in addition to one local European language
Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt, Kaizen/or Lean) and/or APICS certification would be considered a plus
Excellent soft skills: communication & interpersonal skills
Strong Analytical skills
Experienced in MS Excel
Planning Experience and/or SAP ECC knowledge
Independent decision making ability
Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure
