Our client is a multinational hightech company. As a part of their R&D organization, this department assures the development of competitive products by realizing the involved processes with the right quality, reliability, time to market and cost structure. The department is also responsible for development and engineering of strategic products and modules.
The quality of this specific module/component is dependent on all components that are used in the system that is produced. Changes in one of the components usually require changes in the other components as well to optimize the machine/system quality. For a new to develop machine, which contains modifications to basically all components, we are looking for a person that by means of experiments can find the interactions between the different components.
To expand two teams of Physicists within this project we are looking for an:
Experimental Physicist (self reliant and communicative)
You will work in small teams of Physics Researchers in a large R&D project. The following tasks are part of the job:
Make products with different settings to find the effect on quality. A test setup (prototype) is available for making the prints.
Investigate how the quality can be optimized by adapting component settings.
Find the range of settings at which the quality is good (finding the operating range for the settings).
Describing the experiments and the results in a report.
Discuss the results with relevant stakeholders (mainly the teams that realize the different components) in order to improve the different printer components and the overall level of quality.
For this job it is important to build knowledge on the interaction between the different complex components and their combined impact on the final quality. The job will start with a specific assignment to investigate a specific quality issue and the impact of printhead settings on this issue.
