Over de functie

In our office in Amstelveen we are currently looking for a temporary;

In this position you will be part of the Mattel Global Shared Service Center (MGSS). In this role your responsibilities are;
 
Facing internal and external Customers and ensure on-going emphasis on client service and satisfaction.

  • Provide support on MGSS activities for all Mattel European markets.
  • To ensure that any escalated issues or inquiries are followed up, investigated and resolved in a timely manner and to avoid same occurrence to happen in the future.
  • To take part in any structured support and training that may be required by the Business Units; i.e. Oracle training, new processes, MGSS onboarding.
  • To perform internal and external Business Controls; Month End closing, Sox Controls etc.
 
Your primary Responsibilities and focus is within the Procure to Pay & Banking Tower and includes but is not limited to the following elements and activities: 
  • Perform Procure to Pay activities, when required (adhoc) to provide support to the BPO, MGSS & Mattel Business Units in relation to the following processes:
    • Invoice scanning and processing
    • Issue Resolution
    • Payments
    • Supplier maintenance
    • T&E Processing and Reporting
    • Approval Audit reporting and follow up
    • Certain Administrative tasks (post / filing etc.)
  • Perform Banking activities, when required (adhoc) to provide support to the BPO, MGSS & Mattel Business Units in relation to the following processes:
    • Execute the Oracle reconciliation program for clearing bank transactions
    • Resolve unreconciled items by investigation
    • Clear unreconciled items on the basis of information provided by BU
    • Process paper bank statements as needed
  • Reconciling Bank Balances to General Ledgers at Month end
  • Certain Administrative tasks (post / filing etc.)
  • Follow up with the bank on payment queries and resolution.

Our office in Amstelveen is home to 80 employees. It hosts a diverse mix of commercial functions; Sales, Customer Marketing, Customer Services, Consumer Products as well as support functions; Finance, IT, Procurement, Legal, Product Integrity, HR, Logistics.
 

Functie-eisen

  • MBO degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 2 years’ equivalent work experience in an international/multinational company; preferably within Accounts Payable.
  • Fluency in English and preferably one other European languages (written & spoken).
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access. Experience with Oracle is a plus.
  • Knowledge, insight and interest in (financial) administrative (accounting) processes; Accounts Payable in particular.
  • Good communication and Influencing skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills and confident to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize your work well.
  • Flexible; occasionally working in the weekend or after business hours may be expected.
  • Experience and able to work under pressure in a fast paced international environment.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

We offer a temporary, 10 months, position. At Mattel we deeply value a healthy work-life balance. In our Amstelveen office we therefore offer 30 vacation days, plus 3 discretionary ‘Mattel Days’. It is optional to work a schedule that allows you to have the Friday afternoons off. Commuting expenses will be reimbursed (capped). We offer a collective health insurance and a solid pension plan.
