The high-tech organisation in Veldhoven develops and manufactures Liquid Crystal Windows. LC windows can change their transmission with the switch of a button, providing control over light and heat entering into a building and comfort and privacy to the users. The organisation provides switchable glass solutions to key users for applications in architecture worldwide.
In this role you work as a member of the production team. The main purpose of the job is to organize and execute the maintenance of the new production line for LCWindows. In the first year you are involved in the construction, acceptance, and commissioning of the new production line. As you will be involved from the start, you have te opportunity to shape the production and set the foundations for this new business. The maintenance engineer reports to the Operations Manager.
Maintaining all production equipment, utilities ans site security for the production of LCWindows;
Maintaining safe operation of all equipment;
Supervise the Maintenance Technician(s);
Coordinate execution of maintenance plan with the production teams, the engineering team an the service teams from the equipment suppliers;
Organize and execute first and second line support for troule shooting equipment during production and oranize and execute preventative maintenance;
Organize availability of spare parts and equipment consumables;
Set up a program for continuous improvement on uptime and output of the equipment and together with the engineering team implement improvements;
Reporting to other parts of the organization in therms of up-time, and running costs.

The organisation is looking for an maintenance engineer who is very motivated to make LCW a success. You are flexible and are willing to work outside office hours in case the production schedule requires this. At last you need to have had min. 3 years work experience in a similar role in a high-tech production environment
ABSc degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering;
Hands on mentality and demonstrated team player;
A good eye for quality and safety;
Demonstrated organizational skills in organizing work for small to medium sized teams;
Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
