Over de functie

We are looking for an Assistant Controller who would like to work for an international organisation that is operating in more than 130 countries.

Your key responsibilities would be to:

  • Provide analysis of monthly results to the regional management (explain variance vs. budget, forecasts etc.);
  • Support financial planning and control process including group budget, quarterly forecasts and strategic business plan for the regions;
  • Responsible for the after sales administration process;
  • support in setting up various internal finance processes with good controls;
  • Support in preparation of the financial statements in compliance with the latest IFRS standards;
  • Supporting in timely CIT / VAT filings;
  • Assist/guide the finance team as and when needed;
  • Produce and analyse ad hoc financial information

Over het bedrijf

Our client is active in the logistiscs field and delivers hydraulic solutions and are looking for an Assistant Controller who can help further develop the finance department. You will be the right hand of the controllers and finance manager and support in the monthly close, early reporting, tax filing etc. For this you will be in frequent contact with our entities around the world and external suppliers. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for the reporting of the implementation and outcome to our senior management. 

You will be part of the finance team of 8 professionals. This department located in Gouda area is performing finance tasks for all its entities around the world. in addition to this, this department is also supporting the corporate finance department. This will make the job very dynamic with responsibilities in multiple aspects of finance. 


Professional qualification and experience:

  • Minimal bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA degree is a plus;
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role within a dynamic multinational;
  • Good understanding of Dutch Taxes and Pension System;
  • Ability to work with multiple-levels of management;
  • Hands-on mentality;
  • Knowledge of Baan V or ERP LN and Cognos are a plus;
  • Strong MS Office skills;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
