Over de functie

In this role as a Commercial Operations Manager (m/f) you support the business and marketing leaders to deliver against their commitments and to embrace Commercial Excellence initiatives - this for our innovative and successful group Restorative Therapies Group (RTG) and for the region EMEA. You build productive working relationships with Commercial Excellence Managers in the countries and Commercial Framework Managers in the European Headquarter in Switzerland and work closely together with internal departments like Marketing, Finance, Total Rewards, IT, Pricing, Integrated Healthcare Solutions and other Commercial Excellence colleagues. This role will report to the Commercial Excellence Director and can be located in Heerlen/Netherlands or alternatively in another Medtronic office within Europe.

Your main responsibilities as a Commercial Operations Manager:

- Build the Commercial Operations RTG EMEA team (analysts in Heerlen and Prague and roadmap)
- Design analytical solutions, sales and marketing reporting and enabling tools and ensure the deliverables in terms of quality and time
- Ensure data quality of our customer databases and sales structures
- Manage our reporting platforms’ roadmaps
- Facilitate account/therapy potentials collection and customer segmentations
- Design, deploy and improve periodic key sales/product reports, new product launch dashboards, opportunity dashboard and report to support objective decision makings and execution
- Design, deploy and improve automated dashboard packages in order to track overall sales performance, product, service and activities performance
- Provide sales performance & program execution insights: sales, MS%, prices trends by business unit, countries, initiatives
- Sales Force design and territory deployment analysis & recommendations
- Accomplish results through matrix employees/teams, and/or vendors who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments
- Support to enhance sales process and provide effective enabling tools
- Drive the harmonization of business metrics and analytics to improve the effectiveness and efficiency
- Manage activities of one or more medium scale programs, functional areas, or long-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes

• Master degree, MBA or equivalent (IT, Business Economics, Marketing, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 10 years + of Sales Operations/Business Finance expertise with in depth knowledge and experiences in sales analytics and enabling tools
• Profound experience in people management
• Project management experience
• Fluent in English, written and spoken, is mandatory 
• Strong skills in SAP, BO, BW, WEBI and experience in Tableau is a plus. Understanding T-SQL, SSIS, Basic SQL Server administration skills
• Microsoft Excel expert including access and macro skills
• Willingness to travel (~25%) 
• Excellent communication skills, able to connect and quickly create relationships with people at all levels of the organization, able to partner with senior leadership team members
• Able to influence, drive adoption of new processes & tools by articulating their value proposition
• Critical & analytical thinker with strong ability to visualize, solve complex problems and concepts, interpret large quantities of detailed data 
• Business acumen, being able to translate business strategy into effective KPIs/Measurement


- 40 hours a week
- Salary depending on experience
