In your positon as Materials Analyst you will lead/coordinate projects and process improvements within the Supply Chain area of Materials Management as assigned.
As an individual contributor, the expectation is that you will use proven leadership and change management skills to drive improvements in business performance related to inventory investment and customer service initiatives across the global supply chain. Business process performance improvements will be primarily driven through working relationships with Buyers, Production Control Analysts, Finished Goods Planners, and Master Schedulers to monitor and evaluate inventory positions to recommend/initiate actions based on component availability and customer service objectives.
This will incorporate the following:
– Managing inventory planning parameters (Safety Stock, Re-order point quantities, Lot Size, Lead-time, etc..) such that the component and finished goods availability levels are in line with the monthly S&OP expectations.
– Working with the Production Control Analysts, Master Production Schedulers, and Finished Goods Planners to plan/coordinate the monthly inventory planning parameter review process to establish appropriate customer service driven safety stock/reorder point levels for components and/or finished goods based on processes specified in the materials planning playbook.
– Tracking and managing the effectiveness of the planning parameters to rationally adjust safety stock levels and to continuously improve the overall planning parameter process.
– Tracking, analyzing and reporting the pertinent KPI’s, as well as, suggest and implement specific improvement activities (i.e. Must monitor actual customer service performance against the inventory position, and provide a summary of operation results for management).
Provide relevant experience for all affected Business Unit strategic and operational planning activities. Develop, implement & maintain appropriate processes to ensure a productive planning process and well-considered and implementable strategic plans. Prepare as required (generally weekly/monthly) reporting to monitor actual inventory vs the inventory plan. Research situations and obtain input from others to ensure fact-based solutions and answers to technical and operational problems. Applies increasingly in-depth and advanced knowledge and expertise, analytical skills, and creative thinking to modify or adjust processes or approaches to best meet needs/objectives.
Inventory Metrics Reporting, Evaluation and Disposition of Excess Inventory, Review of inventory planning processes. Apply in-depth financial knowledge, expertise and analytical skills to model potential solutions sets to issues related to the associated Business Units product portfolio. In addition, act as business resource to assist in the resolution of RASC wide inquiries and problems. Monitor Customer service metrics and analyze performance gaps related to assigned finished goods.
