Are you ambitious, do you want to achieve goals on sales and do you get energy from approaching new business in all kind of different countries? Maybe you are the Export Manager we are looking for!

The Export Manager will be responsible for technical support and commercial activities of global market activities outside the core markets. The Export Manager will develop a customer relationship, provide first line technical support and is responsible for the realisation of defined goals in terms of price, turnover margins and sales volumes within the agreed budgets. The role will be based in our headquarters in Roermond (the Netherlands), reporting to the Business Director.

The main tasks and responsibilities include:
Technical Support

  • Provide generic technical support and tools in application- and product properties by a.o. checking CAD detail drawings, static calculations, FAQ tools etc.
  • Identify specific technical requirements for the relevant markets / projects and match these to available technical solutions / certificates. Where needed drive additional testing / certification.
  • Use existing technical documentation to adapt to export country requirements together with the Technical Service team
  • Execute technical- and product trainings to selected parties (agents, distributors, …) according to the standards and fitting to sales- and marketing scope and strategies.
  • Assist in execution of e.g. fire or wind rig tests.

Business Development and sales

  • Focus on international projects by analysing relevant project databases and liaise with other OPCO’s
  • Identify international suitable distribution partners
  • Negotiate corporate agreements / contracts with partners
  • Plan and implement export strategy and activities in line with the overall strategy
  • Set up and realization of yearly planning and budgets for the defined goals in terms of m2, turnover (-growth) and as such optimizing margins. Coordinate marketing and distribution activities with Marketing department and external partner companies
  • Review partner / agent performance on a regular basis against agreed targets
  • Monitor, analyse and report on market developments and competitor developments
  • Manages and follows the sales process through the CRM system according to the CRM manual criteria
  • Supports the Business Director in preparing the export content of our strategic planning process
  • Complying to all policies on business ethics, the way and all other relevant criteria

Functie-eisen

  • A Bachelor or university degree within a technical- / commercial education
  • A strong technical background in the building industry is a must
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbal and in writing. An excellent command of an additional language is also preferable
  • An international and commercial mindset
  • High drive and ability to work independently
  • Profound sales experience Sensitivity for an aesthetic and technical product.
  • Ability to set priorities; can handle intern demands according to sales and marketing; sense of urgency.
